Maria Ann Byrne

The death has occurred of Maria Ann Byrne, Main Street, Rathangan, Kildare / Cahir, Tipperary.

Maria Ann Byrne, Huizen, The Netherlands and formerly of Rathangan, Co. Kildare.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Maria in the Netherlands on December 1 2024.

Daughter of the late Andy Byrne, Main Street, Rathangan, she will be very sadly missed by her loving mother Anna (nee McGrath, formerly of Bengurragh, Cahir), sister Bernadette, brother-in-law Michel, nephews and nieces, Olivier, Raphaël, Pierre, Marie and Loan, grand nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins and many friends.

The interment of Maria’s ashes will take place after 11am Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Cahir on Saturday April 5 in the adjoining cemetery.

Maria’s beautiful spirit and generous heart will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

May She Rest In Peace.

Tim Chapman

The death has occurred of Tim Chapman, Sallins Bridge, Sallins, Kildare.

Chapman, Tim, Sallins Bridge, Sallins, Co. Kildare and late of Stockport, Cheshire, UK.

Passed away peacefully March 28 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his parents Austin and Hilary Chapman, sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Marie-Louise (née Doyle), children Katie and Róisín, siblings Jane, Alistair and Dan, extended family, neighbours, colleagues and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday from 6pm - 8pm.

Removal from his residence on Thursday at approx. 1:30pm to arrive at Newlands Cross Crematorium Chapel for a Celebration of Life Service at 2:30pm.

Déirdre Drea

The death has occurred of Déirdre DREA, Athy, Kildare.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Déirdre Drea, late of Athy, Co.Kildare & formerly of many places as a seasoned traveller - England, Zimbabwe, Australia, Holland, South Africa and finally settling in Ireland.

Déirdre is survived by her loving daughter Ciara Pereira (nee Drea), her grandchildren Evan Pereira, Séan Pereira, Xander Pereira and Hannah Pereira. Her sister Fionnuala Drea and nephews Evan & Éamon Drea as well as her brothers Paul and Dermot Drea.

You remain forever in our hearts.

A ceremony of celebration of Déirdre’s life will take place in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross, Dublin, D6W HY98, The Garden Chapel on Tuesday April 1 @ 12.45pm.

The death has occurred of Gene LAMBERT, Monasterevin, Kildare / Sallins, Kildare.

Lambert (Monasterevin and formerly of Sallins) - March 28, 2025, (peacefully), at home.

Gene, dear father of Danny; Sadly missed by his loving son, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Sean Losty, Caragh, Kildare.

Passed away peacefully on the March 29 2025 in Naas General Hospital.

Beloved brother to Peter and Peggy. Sean will be very sadly missed by his loving siblings, sister-in-law Kathleen, brother-in-law Mick, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas (Eircode W91CD0K) on Wednesday 2nd April from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm.

Funeral on Thursday morning with Requiem Mass at 11am in Church of Our Lady and St. Joseph, Carragh followed by burial in Caragh Cemetery.

Kieran McCarthy

The death has occurred of Kieran McCarthy, Naas, Kildare.

McCarthy, Kieran (Formerly of An Garda Siochana and The Paddocks, Naas) passed away peacefully surrounded by love, in the exceptional care of the staff of the Allen Ward, Naas General Hospital on Sunday 30th March 2025.

Beloved husband of Della and adored father of Aisling, Eoghan and Deirdre.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, son, sons-in-law Brendan, Aiden and Alan, his adored grandchildren Cian and Fiadh, his parents Bernadette and Peter, brothers Eugene, Gary, Leslie, Cyril and Brendan, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, colleagues and many friends.

Predeceased by his brothers Noel and Barry.

May Kieran’s gentle soul rest in peace.
