Tributes have poured in following the passing of a Nurney, Co Kildare lady this week.
Mary Conway (née Doyle), Gurteen, Nurney, Co Kildare and formerly Athy, Co Kildare passed peacefully on June 23 2025, in the wonderful care of the staff at St Vincent's Hospital Athy, surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of the late Patrick (Chevitt) and Margaret, sister of the late Noreen Kenny.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Martin, daughter Sharon, sons Martin, Paul and Mikey, daughter in law and partners, grandchildren Sophia, Martin, Kate, Caoimhe and Joey, brother Tom, sister Bridie, brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May Mary Rest In Peace.
Tributes paid to Mary on RIP.ie include: “Sincere condolences to Martin on the very sad loss of your wife Mary and also to your children Sharon, Martin, Paul and Mikey. We hope the memories of good times together gives you comfort in the difficult days ahead. May her gentle soul rest in peace.”
And: “Deepest sympathy to you Martin Sharon Paul Martin and Mikey and extended families on the sad passing of Mary. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time RIP Mary.”
While another mourner wrote: “It is with great sadness to hear of Mary's passing. Sincere condolences to Martin and all the Conway family. May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.”
And another added: “Heartfelt condolences to the Conway and Doyle families on the sad passing of Mary. I have lovely memories of Mary as a neighbour in St. Joseph's Tce. May her gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.”
Reposing at her son Mikey's residence, Willow Lodge, Boley Great, Nurney (R51 AH76) from 4pm on Tuesday with Rosary at 7pm.
Removal by Glennon's Funeral Directors on Wednesday afternoon to arrive at The Church of The Sacred Heart, Nurney for requiem mass at 3pm. Burial afterwards in Nurney Cemetery.
