Joe Brady

The death has occurred of Joe Brady, Shanrath East, Athy, Kildare / Ferbane, Offaly.

Joe Brady, Shanrath East, Athy, passed away peacefully on September 16 2025 surrounded by his family at St. Bridget’s Hospice, The Curragh.

Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife June, sons Steve, David, Joe and daughter Gillian, his 8 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 2 great grandsons, 2 great grand daughters, daughters-in-law Michelle, Siobhan and Juliane, son-in-law John, sister Anne, brothers-in-law Gerry Molloy and Joe Molloy, extended family and many friends.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Christina, sisters Breda and Kathleen and brother Jack Delaney.

Joe will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Friday evening 19th September from 5pm until 7pm with Rosary at 6.30pm. Removal at 10.45am on Saturday morning September 20 to arrive at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s (New) Cemetery, Athy.

Brendan Connolly, Lughill, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. Peacefully, September 17 2025, at St. Brigid's Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Brendan will be sadly missed by his loving wife Olive, daughters Lorraine, Barbara and Claire, sons in law Philip, Bishu and Colm, grandchildren Grace, Alexander, Éabha, Brendan, Oscar and Connie, sister Vera, brothers Tom and Eddie, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McWey's Funeral Home, Abbeyview, Kildare Town on Thursday (September 18) from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm.

Removal by Glennon's Funeral Directors on Friday morning to arrive at St. Peter and Paul's Church, Monasterevin for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in St. Evin's Cemetery, Monasterevin. Brendan's Funeral Mass will be live streamed through the webstream link below.

Patricia Marsh (née O'Connor)

The death has occurred of Patricia Marsh (née O'Connor), Leixlip, Kildare / Claremorris, Mayo.

MARSH (née O’Connor), Patricia (Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Claremorris, Co. Mayo) September 16 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved wife of Diarmaid and sister of John, Eamon, Mary and Delia.

Pre-deceased by her parents Tom and Maureen.

Sadly missed by her loving husband, mother-in-law, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Celbridge on Friday evening (September 19) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip on Saturday morning (September 20) arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Confey Cemetery, Leixlip.

Derek Row

The death has occurred of Derek Row, Naas, Kildare / Derry City, Derry / Sligo / Donegal.

After a long illness bravely borne. Beloved husband of Nuala and loving Daddy of Caitríona and Molly.

Derek will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife and daughters, grandchildren Aoife, Frieda, Nicholas, Abbie and Méabh, brother George, sons-in-law Michael and Evan, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Josephine Gallagher (Née Kirwan) Woodlands, Castledermot passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Naas General Hospital on September 10 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret, her brothers and sisters. Josephine will be sadly missed by her husband P.J., son and daughters Joann, Eugene and Vanessa, grandchildren Erin, James, Sadie, Molly, son-in-law Patrick daughter-in-law Louise, brother Frank, sisters Maureen and Kathleen, sister-in-law Biddy, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Castledermot on Monday September 22 2025 for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by committal service at 2.30pm in the Victorian Chapel Mt. Jerome, Harold's Cross D6W HY98.
