Kildare mourns passing of Very Rev. Edward (Eddie) Moore P.E.

Kildare is mourning the passing of Very Rev. Edward (Eddie) Moore P.E., who passed on September 19 last.

Fr Eddie, 'Marian House', Sallins Road, Naas, Co Kildare and formerly of The Wastegrass, Tullow, Co Carlow.

Retired Parish Priest of Allen Parish, who passed away peacefully on September 19th 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff of Naas General Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Nicholas, his sisters: May (Mary) Fox, Sr. Bernie and his brothers: Garrett, Paddy and Fr. Nicholas.

Deeply regretted and forever missed by his loving sister Rita Kearney, nephews, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.

His friend and carer, Rose, kind parishioners of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House who enjoyed Eddie’s friendship.

A dear colleague to the Naas Parish Team and Staff, Bishop Denis Nulty, fellow priests, former parishioners, relatives and friends.

Fr. Eddie’s remains will repose at the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas at 12noon on Saturday September 20, Mass of Thanksgiving at 2pm.

Immediately afterwards, Fr. Eddie’s remains will be removed by Glennon's Funeral Directors to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Allen for Reception of Remains and Prayers at 4pm approx. His remains will repose until 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Sunday September 21 at 2pm in Allen Church followed by burial to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow, arriving at approximately 5pm, where Fr. Eddie will be laid to rest with his parents.

Ní imithe uainn ata, ach imithe romhainn.

Requiescat In Pace.

Tributes paid to Fr Eddie on RIP.ie include: "Deepest condolences to Fr Eddie's sister, family and friends, and to all his colleagues on the Parish Team here in Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House. May Fr Eddie rest in the eternal peace of Christ."

And: "Deepest sympathy to Fr Moore’s family. May he rest in peace."

While another mourner wrote: "Sincere condolences to Fr. MOORES family and friends on his death. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad and difficult time. May Fr. MOORE rest in peace."

And another added: "Deepest sympathy to Fr. Moore's loving Family on the sad passing of Fr. Moore. May Fr. Moore Rest in peace."
