“Our deepest sympathy to all the Coonan family on the sad passing of Eddie. For many years, Eddie was such a dependable volunteer with the Meals on Wheels project. His lovely relaxed attitude put people at ease. He always made time to sit and chat over a cup of coffee and to sort the issues of the day, both near and far. We will greatly miss his kindness and the pleasure of his company. May the light of Heaven shine upon him.”

And: “So sad to hear of Eddie's passing. Sincere sympathies to Nancy, Richard, Anne Marie
and the extended families. In 1963 i joined North Kildare Rugby Club Eddie was club Captain that year. He was a real gentleman. May he rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “We are saddened to hear of the passing of Eddie a dear friend and work colleague of many years ago. Our deepest sympathy to Nancy and Family.
May Eddie rest in peace.”

And another added: “Dear Nancy, Richard and Ann Marie, I was so sad to hear of the death of your beloved husband and dad. It’s been a long time now since we met but my memories of you all are vivid from our Kilglyn years. Eddie was a lovely man - warm friendly welcoming. There is now a huge hole in your lives. No words can ease your pain at this terrible time. Rest in peace Eddie.”
