RIP: tributes paid to Kildare woman who passed recently

Heartfelt tributes have poured in following the passing of Athy, Co Kildare woman, Joanne Webster, who passed on December 23 2025.

Joanne, Ashville, Athy, Co Kildare, passed away suddenly but peacefully in hospital.

She will be sadly missed by her sons Michael and Dylan, her daughter Lily, her parents Tony and Joan, her brothers Paul, Steven and Tony, nephews, nieces, extended family and good friends.

Joanne will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Athy (R14 NX80) on Friday January 16 from 5pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 7pm.

A private funeral service for family and friends will take place on Saturday January 17 at 12 noon at Thompson’s Cremation Chapel.

House Strictly Private.

Tributes paid to Joanne on RIP.ie include: “Deepest condolences to Joanne’s children, parents and extended family. I have such fond memories of growing up with Joanne and our school days. Those childhood memories will always stay with me. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May Joanne rest in peace.”

And: “Sincere condolences to Tony, Joan and the Webster family on the sad passing of Joanne. May she rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “Sincere condolences to Tony, Joan and family on your sad loss.”

And another added: “My deepest condolences to Tony and Joan on the sad passing of your daughter Joanne and also to her family and friends. May she Rest in Peace.”
