RIP: Tributes paid to Kildare man who passed recently

The late Ciarán Byrne

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a Kill, Co Kildare man who passed recently.

Ciarán Byrne, Kill, Kildare / Tallaght, Dublin passed on February 11 2026.

Ciarán is the much loved son of Margaret and Tommy and beloved brother of Annette. Predeceased by his baby son Christopher.

Ciarán will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving family, daughter Jessica, brother-in-law Ken, nieces Niamh and Orlagh, nephew Conor, extended family, a wide circle of friends and his carers.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Ciarán will be reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, Co. Kildare (W91 CD0K) on Tuesday February 17 from 5pm to 7pm.

A ceremony to celebrate Ciarán's life will take place on Wednesday February 18 at 2:30pm at The Temple, Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Tributes paid to Ciarán on RIP.ie include: “I have known Ciaran for years whilst working in different housing and homeless services in Dublin City. He has a pleasant and infectious personality. Sharing with his mates, whatever he has, very selfless and protective of his mates. A good listener and can be sometimes stubbornly naughty and cheeky in a way. He will be sorely missed. A very heartfelt condolences to his entire family. RIP Ciaran. God bless.”

And: “Dearest Annette we are very sorry to hear of Ciarán’s passing. Our deepest sympathy to Margaret, Tommy and his daughter Jessica. I hope that time will bring you all some peace. Please accept our apologies that we cannot be with you at this sad time. But you are all in our thoughts.”

While another mourner wrote: “Magaret Tommy and Annette deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of Ciaran, may you cherish all of the good times and may he rest in eternal peace.”

And another added: “Tommy, Margaret, Annette and family. So sorry to hear about Ciaran's passing. Deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.”
