The death has occurred of Helen Carey (née Kenny), Celbridge, Kildare.

CAREY (née Kenny), Helen (Celbridge, Co. Kildare) March 8 2026, peacefully at her home. Beloved wife of the late Thomas and much loved mother of George, Catherine, Michael and the late Thomas.

Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Angela and Norma, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her son-in-law William.

Reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Celbridge on Thursday morning (March 12) from 9.30am followed by her removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St John’s Ward, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, with her daughter Audrey by her side.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Mark. Beloved mother of Audrey and cherished grandmother to Amelia and Kate.

She will be very sadly missed by her loving daughter, granddaughters, son-in-law Mark, sisters Carol, Catherine and Marie, brothers Anthony and David, relatives, neighbours and friends, and by Eamonn, Aíne and Patrick, who were very much part of her extended family.

Removal from the Funeral Home on Friday at approx. 10:30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Maynooth (W23N663) for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross at approx. 1pm.

Peacefully, on January 22, 2026 at St Brigid’s Hospice, Co. Kildare. A private cremation ceremony has been held at Mount Jerome Crematorium.

Pre-deceased by her father, Bartley, nephew Gregory & niece Nicola.

Sandy is sadly missed by her husband Mick, her mother Kitty, sisters Kathy & Honora, brothers Tommy & Jonathan, niece Lauren, nephews Damian, Leigh, Sam & Kenan and by her extended family, former colleagues at St. Mary’s College, Naas, and friends.

Burial afterwards in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Nurney.

The death has occurred of Anthony (Tony) Kavanagh, The Acres, Dromahair, Leitrim / Newbridge, Kildare.

Formerly of Mount Carmel, Roseberry, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the great care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Charles and Beryl and his brothers Terry, Brian and his twin brother David.

Loving husband of Mary and dear father of Irene and Emma (Ray).

He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, granddaughter Kate, sisters Jill and Susan, brothers Denis and Barry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her daughter Geraldine, her brothers Paddy and Tom, sisters Ita (Purcell) and Aine (Perryment), sisters-in-law Anne (Callan), Patricia (Maguire), Moira (Maguire), brothers-in-law Martin (Purcell), Ken (Perryment), Fr Joe, William and Edward Travers.

Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband of 67 years Paddy. Dear mother to her sons Joe, Tom and Pádraig, daughters Anne (Lernihan) and Bernadette (Marron), sons-in-law John and Paul, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Anne and Lucy, her cherished 18 grandchildren, her sister Maeve (Kelly), sister-in-law Mary (O'Connell), brother-in-law Gerry Kelly, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
