RIP: Tributes paid to 'absolute gentleman' from Kildare who passed this week

The community of Monasterevin, Co Kildare is mourning the passing this week of “absolute gentleman”, Stephen Kelly.

Stephen – Ardhaven House, Nurney Road, Monasterevin, Kildare - passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family while in the wonderful care of the staff of The Maguire Ward at Tallaght Hospital.

Stephen is predeceased by his parents Joe and Sarah, brothers Jack and baby Joe.

He is sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Rose, daughter Stephanie, son Joseph and his partner Minde, sisters Mary and Trini, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, former co-workers, relatives, neighbours, friends and his four legged friend Ziggy.

May Stephen Rest In Peace.

Stephen will be reposing at Our Lady's Chapel Monasterevin on Tuesday evening from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm.

The removal will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:45am arriving St Peter and Paul's Church, Monasterevin for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Funeral afterwards to St Evin's Cemetery, Monasterevin.

Stephen's Requiem Mass will be streamed live on http://www.monasterevinparish.ie/

The family would like to thank you for your support and understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Tributes paid to Stephen on RIP.ie include: “We are saddened to hear of Stephen’s passing. We are travelling to England to attend my own sister's funeral tomorrow so unfortunately we will not be attending the services for Stephen. I shall ask for him to be prayed for also at her Mass. May they both rest in peace because they were truly loved in this life. They leave behind heartbroken families that loved them.
“May the Angels Welcome Them Home And Care For Them Till We Meet Again. To leave this earth knowing you were loved is indeed the greatest gift. Slan Abhaile.”
And: “Condolences to Rose, Stephanie and Joe on the passing of Steve, an absolute gentleman so many fond memories of working together. May Steve's gentle soul rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “Sincere sympathies to Rose, Stephanie, Joe and extended families on very sad passing of Stephen. May He Rest in Peace. Thinking of you all at this very sad and difficult time.”

And another added: “To dear Steph and the extended Kelly family. I am sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Dad Stephen, may he rest peacefully. May the precious memories of good times spent with your Dad bring you comfort in the weeks and months ahead.”
