In his 95th year, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of The Holy Family Ward, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy on April 21 2026.
Predeceased by his wife Ellen, parents Andrew and Anne, brothers Sonny, Jimmy and Morgan, sisters Maggie, Maureen, Bridie and Sarah.
He will be deeply missed by his loving son Andrew Gerard, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home Athy R14TX26 on Wednesday from 3pm to 5pm.
Funeral to arrive at St Michael's Church, Athy for prayers at 6 pm. Requiem Mass at 11 am on Thursday followed by burial in St. Mullins Cemetery, Co. Carlow.

Predeceased by his parents Florence and Michael, his sister Kay, his brother Michael, his nephews David and Paul, niece Suzanne and brother-in-law Denis.
David passed away on the April 21 in the tender care of his loving family and wonderful staff of Galway Hospice.
Beloved husband of Ann and dearly loved father of Aisling and Leanne.
David is survived by his sisters Anne, Frances, Patricia and Marian, brother James, sister-in-law Sandra, Patricia's partner Malcolm, sisters-in-law Bridie, Mary and Bernie and brothers-in-law John, Liam, Eamonn and John, nieces, nephews, extended family.
He will be sadly missed by his neighbours, a large circle of friends and all those who cared for David over the last number of years.
Tomorrow is never promised, rest in peace David, gone but never forgotten.
Reposing at Maree Pastoral Centre (H91 KOY9) on Thursday April 23 from 5pm to 7pm followed by funeral service and cremation on Friday the April 24 at 1pm in Shannon Crematorium. All are welcome to attend the funeral service.
