Delay in switching on pedestrian crossings is blamed on ESB

The ESB needs to activate a power supply to get two pedestrian crossings operating in Naas.

Naas Mayor Bill Clear asked when the two crossings at Blessington Road will be operational given that phase one of the Stonehaven estate is occupied and children “from the estate are going to school.”

“It’s a busy road," he added.

According to Kildare County Council it contacted the developer, Ballymore Homes, and the toucan crossings need a power supply to be activated.
