Following representations from Cllr Carmel Kelly, Kildare County Council has confirmed that they expect a delivery of dog waste bags in the next 2 weeks.
KildareNow reported last week that dog waste bags in dispensers located around Naas town in recent weeks.
It emerged that problems arose when the tax clearance of the company which supplies the bags had expired and had to be renewed in order for the Council to be able to place an order.
Cllr Kelly said that this took more time to resolve than expected.
The local dog owner told KildareNow last week that advance notice should be given to dog walkers if bags were in short supply.
