Appeals are now being made for progress on €17million plans for development at Naas General Hospital.
Kildare North Labour General Election Candidate Emmet Stagg says that he is continuing to press the Minister for Health and the HSE in relation to the €17 Million development of the new endoscopy unit and other services at Naas General Hospital.
Progress for development is being sought on the new Endoscopy Unit, a new physical medicine unit, a new physical therapy unit, new oncology services and day procedure departments.
The HSE have advised that it is anticipated that the tenders for construction of the project will commence in 2019, again with the proviso that it was subject to the availability of capital funding and progress of other priority projects.
Mr. Stagg stated that he was very positive that the Tenders would be invited in 2019 and construction would also commence in 2019 based on the responses from the HSE.
