8:55 Thursday 12th of October 2017

Units from the Dublin Fire Brigade responded to a large industrial fire on the Naas Road last night that ripped through a car dealership.

The fire broke out shortly after 7pm at the Caltegan Motor Company industrial unit near the Red Cow Interchange, and four units from Dolphin's Barn and Tallaght responded to the incident.

The fire spread through to the roof area of the building, and crews had to use breathing apparatus and a turntable ladder to bring the blaze under control. There were also disruptions caused to traffic in the area, including the M50, as smoke from the large inferno billowed out towards the roads.

Emergency services eventually got the fire under control last night. No cause for the fire has been established as of yet.
