The sister of Trevor Deely has made an emotional plea to people who may know something about her brother's disappearance over 16 years ago.

An anonymous person has given a €100,000 reward through Crimestoppers for any new significant information.

Today, digitally-enhanced CCTV footage has been released showing a man dressed in black talking to Trevor outside the rear entrance of Bank of Ireland Asset Management offices on Wilton Terrace in Dublin.

Trevor's sister Michele told a Garda press conference in Dublin: "The reason we are here today is to appeal to that person or persons who knows what happened next."placeholder image

"We know someone knows something, and we ask that you come forward to put an end to this relentless nightmare. Many people over the past 16 years have questioned why we continue to search for Trevor.

"The answer is simple if you knew Trevor. We can sum it up by saying if the situation was reversed, he would never give up on us."

"We have felt for many years that a fresh review conducted on Trevor’s case would be very beneficial using modern day technology."
