€1.8m housing development approved for this Kildare town

The eight-dwelling development is addressed at Ballitore House, Athy, Co Kildare
Planning permission has been granted for the construction of a €1.8m housing development in Athy, Co Kildare.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), approval was granted by Kildare County Council for a site addressed at Ballitore House, Athy, Co. Kildare.
CIS notes the application was first submitted on June 16 2025.
The proposed scheme consists of the following:
The construction of eight dwellings consisting of 2 x detached 2-storey houses and 2 x 2-storey terrace blocks consisting of 3 x houses each.
The development also consists of individual domestic vehicular entrances off Abbeyfield and Mill Lane, new shared cycle / footpath along Mill Lane, connection to foul water sewer, and all associated ancillary site-works.
