Evening weather update: Snow beginning to fall in parts of Kildare

It may not stick, but snow is beginning to fall in some areas around Kildare according to reports. A band of sleety snowfall has drifted in from the west of the country during the course of the day and there could be several light showers of snowfall over the course of the evening.

It's going to be very cold once again this evening too, with temperatures already sitting at around 1 degree in Kildare, while there will be a further drop in the temperature as the evening goes on.

Aside from the scattered wintry showers it should remain quite dry during the course of the night, although there will be quite a chill in the air as temperatures will range from around -2 to 1 degrees overnight.

Tomorrow morning will not see any major changes in the weather, although temperatures are set to rise slightly in the afternoon.
