Family and friends of Chris 'Flash' Delaney are gathering to remember him this week on the second anniversary of his death.

The Allenwood man is still very sadly missed by his wife Linda, sons Mark and Christopher and daughters Emma and Aoife.

Last month, Carbury Hot Rod & Rookie Banger Track hosted The Chris 'Flash' Delaney Memorial Cup Race Day Event.

Flash was a former founder of the track approximately seven years ago.

Organisers said Flash was a colourful character who made a lasting impression on anybody who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Carbury Hot Rod Track said they were privileged to be hosting this event in his memory.

Chris is laid to rest in St Benignus' Cemetery, Staplestown.
