Freeze to set in overnight in Kildare once again as frost and ice predicted
16:15 Wednesday 14th of February 2018

Temperatures are set to drop to freezing in Kildare once again tonight as the cold spell of weather that has been prominent throughout February continues.

For the remainder of this evening it will be dry in many areas, but there will be spells of heavy showers breaking out in some places too.

Overnight it will turn cold, and with the clear skies it will feel quite wintry. There will be patches of frost and ice across Kildare as temperatures drop to between -1 and 3 degrees, remaining cold until daybreak on Thursday.

Tomorrow will be a bright, cold and blustery day with further showers. Highs of 4 to 7 degrees in gusty west to southwest winds.
