Five people are being treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.
This means it's the second least overcrowded public hospital in the eastern region.
At Portlaoise Hospital there are ten patients on trolleys and the figure for Tullamore Hospital is 8.
