A Newbridge resident has voiced their concern at the prevalence of 'fly tipping' in the town with household rubbish and black bags being illegally dumped at several locations in recent weeks.

In one case that was brought to the attention of KildareNow, a number of household items and rubbish bags were dumped at John's Court on John's Street in Newbridge.

Speaking to KildareNow, one concerned local resident said: "It's awful, it's over 2 weeks like that now. This area is a constant spot for fly tipping including household furniture an even beds a few weeks ago."

It is understand that the illegal dumping in this area has been brought to the attention of Kildare County Council.

Meanwhile, earlier last week, Newbridge business owners were left furious after a number of rubbish bags were dumped on Limerick Lane, a small access street between Henry Street and the Main Street and it is understood that most of the illegal dumping in the town is occurring on back streets.
