Full Dart services resume this morning following derailment of train yesterday

Dart services in Dublin have returned to normal this morning following the derailment of a train near the Dun Laoghaire station at a peak commuter time yesterday evening.

Iarnród Éireann cut the service yesterday evening between Dun Laoghaire and Lansdowne following a low speed derailment of a train operating on the Howth to Bray route at around 6.15pm.

There were no reported injuries from the scene, though Dublin Fire Brigade sent two units out to the station.

An investigation will be carried out following the derailment, but service have resumed fully this morning and will be operating as normal.
