Fundraising officer for a Co Kildare based charity that provides a national  care service  to extremely ill children says they rely mostly on public donations, with very little state support.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides direct funding, to families of children with brain damage up to the age of four who suffer severe intellectual and physical developmental delay, enabling them to purchase home respite care. We also provide end of life care to all children up to the age of four years.
Fundraising officer Edelle Monahan said: "The majority of donations come from the public sector, we get little or nothing from the state."
Meanwhile, Physiotherapy Works, based in Naas and Blessington, run by husband and wife team David and Caitlin Gardiner are celebrating 10 years since their move from a small practice in Naas town to their state of the art premises in Millennium Business Park in Naas.
To mark the occasion, they have invited clients and friends to Naas Golf Club for a round of golf and BBQ in aid of well-known charity the Jack and Jill Foundation.
The golfers are teeing off at 12 noon on Friday , September 15.
