Cathal Dowling returns for Kildare in clash with Westmeath

Hurlers face another big test in Joe McDonagh Cup tomorrow in Cedral St Conleth's Park

Kildare hurlers maintain their 100% winning record with excellent win over Kerry

Sinon Leacy moves from full back to centre back for Saturday's clash with Westmeath

Following their opening day loss to Kerry in Round 1 of the Joe McDonagh Cup, Kildare manager, Brian Dowling and his management have named their team for Saturday's clash in Round 2 when Westmeath are the visitors to Cedral Park, Newbridge, a game that throws in at 4.30.

Cathal Dowling returns from injury and is named at full forward while there are a number of positional changes, one in particular stands out and that is Simon Leacy moving to centre back; while James Burke will now lead the attack with Gerry Keenan moving to no. 15

The full team reads: 

KILDARE v Westmeath:

Paddy McKenna; Liam O'Reilly, Rian Boran cpt, Daniel O'Meara; Paul Dolan, Simon Leacy, Cian Boran; Daire Guerin, Cathal McCabe; David Qualter, James Burke, Darragh Melville; Jack Sheridan, Cathal Dowling, Gerry Keegan.

Remaining panel: Mark Doyle, Jack Travers, Harry Carroll, Richy Hogan, James Dolan Celbridge, Jack Higgins, Muiris Curtin, James Dolan Éire Óg Corra Choill, Conn Kehoe, Matt Eustace, Cormac Byrne.
