Kildare's Ben Loakman has made the GAA.ie Team of the Week after his starring role over the weekend.
The young Sarsfields forward kicked 0-10 in an outstanding performance in The Lilies' disappointing loss to Derry in their Allianz Football League Division 2 meeting.
As well as the sheer scale of scoring, Loakman stood up to be counted when Kildare needed someone to lead them forward most in their chaotic clash with The Oak Leaf.
Four points in the opening half helped Kildare to lead at the break but in the second half, when the fat was in the fire, it was Loakman who kept The Lilies in it with two brilliant two-pointers and a couple of frees, ending the game with 10 in total.
