A gold watch has been reported stolen from a Co Kildare home.

It is understood that a rear window was forced open at the house in Mansfield Grove, Athy.

Earlier this week, between 12noon and 9pm, the house was broken into and badly ransacked.

A Casio gold watch has been confirmed as missing.

Gardaí in Kildare suspect that the break in at Mansfield Grove, Athy, could be linked to a break in on the same day at Tinlelin, Athy, between 10.15am and 9.15pm.

A rear window was forced open and the home was badly ransacked.
