Returning officer, Eoghan Ryan
It's nip and tuck in the transfer race in South Kildare. On the seventh count Ni Raghallaigh has overtaken O'Loughlin with the gap now at 66. Mark Wall has now moved to 7251, 446 votes behind O'Loughlin.
With Anthony Casey eliminated, it's likely his transfers will favour parties with left leanings so it's going to come down to where Chris Pender (SD) and Cathal Berry's (Non Party) transfers will go. It's too tight to call at this stage apart from the fact that Martin Heydon will take the first seat. It will be a three way battle between Ni Raghallaigh, O'Loughlin and Wall for the remaining two seats.
Seventh count Kildare South
Berry, Cathal (NP) - 3441
Byrne, Mellissa (Aontu) - 1939
Casey, Anthony (Irish Freedom Party) - 1362
Heydon, Martin (FG) - 9595
Ní Raghallaigh, Shonagh (SF) - 7763
O'Loughlin, Fiona (FF) - 7697
Pender, Chris (SD) - 3670
Wall, Mark (Lab) - 7251
No one has reached the quota so Anthony Casey has been eliminated and his votes will now be distributed.
