A total of 43 homes are being planned for Castledermot.
A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for the proposed development in the Skenagun / Garterfarm area off the R418 road to Athy.
The estimated value is €10m according to Construction Information Services database.
The proposed housing units would be mainly comprised of 15 three-bedroom single storey courtyard houses, 12 two-bedroom two-storey houses and 12 three-bedroom two-storey houses.
In addition there are 55 dedicated parking spaces of which there are 45 for residents, 10 for visitors.
There will be three electrical vehicle spaces and three disabled spaces.
The designs feature vehicular access from the R418 as well as two pedestrian footbridges and a single new vehicular access over a local stream.
A linear park will also be provided 10 metres either side of the stream as well as a natural play area,
The total area is 2.19 hectares.
