Kildare court: Update in alleged death threat case

A man who allegedly threatened to murder a social worker has had his case sent forward for trial at the present sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court.

Previously, on Thursday, January 12 last, Naas District Court was told that Mark Doyle, who has an address listed as 32 Barnville Park, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, County Dublin (but who is currently serving a custodial sentence) allegedly committed the offence at 2.25pm on June 17, 2021 in Kildare.

The 44-year-old denies ever committing the offence.

On the latest court date at Naas District Court, on Thursday, February 2, a book of evidence was served on Mr Doyle.

Judge Michéle Finan sent his case forward for trial to February 9.

She also remanded him in custody until this date.
