KILDARE; Top craft food award for Nolan's of Kilcullen

Nolan Butchers of Kilcullen have landed another award.

The business has won an accolade at the Irish Craft Butchers All-Ireland competition finals. The competition was staged in Portlaoise.

Nolan's won the gong for the best traditional butcher's sausage in Ireland. And the award was accepted by James Nolan. Also present was Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland president Jack Molloy.

James dedicated the award to his dad Andy, who started making the sausages in the 1960s and to Fred Mitchell, who makes them daily.
