A four-month custodial sentence was imposed on a man who appeared in Naas District Court via video-link on Thursday, February 9.
Niall Casey, with an address listed as 3126 Fenview Heights in Milltown, was convicted for a public disorder offence, which occurred in Kildare on February 1, 2021.
The 34-year-old, who is currently serving a custodial sentence for another offence, was also convicted for a drink-driving offence in Kildare.
Gardaí said that Mr Casey had a total of 23 previous convictions, 16 of which were for road traffic offences, including one past conviction for drink-driving.
Presiding Judge Michéle Finan imposed a four-year driving disqualification and a €150 fine, to be paid forthwith, and also imposed the four-month custodial sentence for the public disorder offence.
This sentence will run concurrent to his present sentence.
