43 housing units and linear park proposed for Castledermot in County Kildare

Documents lodged with Kildare County Council (KCC) show that new housing units, along with a linear park, have been proposed for Castledermot.

Corestone 11 Limited has proposed to construct the dwellings at Skenagun / Garterfarm in Castledermot.

According to the documents, the planned development would consist of 43 housing units, comprising of: 15 three-bedroom single storey courtyard houses, 4 No. single storey 4 bedroom courtyard houses; 12 No. 2 bedroom 2 storey houses; 12 No. 3 bedroom 2 storey houses)

55 dedicated parking spaces have also been proposed, of which there are 45 for residents, 10 for visitors, inclusive of three EV spaces and three disabled spaces and including bicycle and bin storage, vehicular access from the R418.

In addition, planning permission is being sought for: the provision of new access road connecting to existing estate roads (Oak Road and Beach Close), provision of two pedestrian footbridges and a single new vehicular access over the existing stream, provision of a linear park 10 metres either side of the stream, a natural play area, an attenuation area, pumping station, open space and associated site works over a total application site area of 2.19 hectares.

This application would be accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement Development.

The date received is listed as January 31 last, while the submission-by date is listed as March 6. 

There is no due date listed.

According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, Corestone 11 Limited was established in 2019 and specialises in 'Renting and Operating of Own or Leased Real Estate.'

It has an address given as Warrington House, Mount Street Crescent, Dublin 2, County Dublin (D02 R256).
