New signage is on the way for a region located in Clane.
Kildare County Council made the information known at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which was held on Friday, March 3.
The council made the revelation in response to a motion put forward by Independent councillor Pádraig McEvoy.
Cllr McEvoy urged the council to install signage ‘to the advice of cyclists and walkers sharing the single lane road through Capdoo, Clane.’
His sentiments were echoed by Fine Gael Cllr Brendan Weld, who claimed that the area 'is getting dangerous.'
He also called for an investigation into the area.
The Municipal District Engineer said that the council would arrange for appropriate signage to be provided to advise drivers of cyclists and pedestrians.
