Jigginstown Castle, Naas
A new bus stop has been approved for Naas.
It’ll be located on the Newbridge Road at Jigginstown Castle, on the approach to Naas.
There is a stop on the other side of the road for people heading towards Newbridge.
KCC engineer Donal Hodgins reported that the stop is part of the plan to enhance facilities for walkers and cyclists at Newbridge Road.
He also indicated that engineering works are required to ensure the safe boarding and alighting of passengers and the installation works are “contingent on the scheme being funded by the National Transport Authority.”
Cllr Bill Clear said it’s needed because of the new residential being built in the area.
