Whitewater Shopping Centre has announced its continued support of Newbridge Musical Theatre, who are returning to the stage for their 40th production this Easter, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, running from Monday April 10 to Saturday April 15.
Whitewater Shopping Centre has pledged funds to assist Newbridge Musical Theatre to cover the costs of the production, which will be the largest in the organisation’s 40-year history.
In addition, Whitewater Shopping Centre has also donated a voucher as the top prize for Newbridge Musical Theatre’s Grand Prize Raffle, which will help the group in its efforts to raise further funds.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor Newbridge Musical Theatre again this year, having sponsored their return to the stage for their production of Evita last year.” said Ingrid Ryan, Centre Manager of Whitewater Shopping Centre.
“The group has a stellar reputation for brining top quality stage productions to the local community and ‘supporting local’ is one of our key values.”
Whitewater Shopping Centre and Newbridge Musical Theatre share close links, with the musical theatre group holding Singathon events several times per year at the Centre as part of its annual fundraising efforts.
Adam Trundle, Public Relations Officer for Newbridge Musical Theatre said, “We are deeply grateful to Whitewater Shopping Centre for the continued generosity in supporting this year’s production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
“This is a spectacular stage show, with larger-than-life sets, incredible costumes and innovative lighting effects required to bring the classic animated movie to life.”
“For this reason, we have set aside the largest budget in our history in order to do justice to this terrific piece of theatre. Without this support from Whitewater Shopping Centre, this show would simply not be possible for a local community group like us.”
