Poplar Square, Naas
A request for footpath repairs in Naas is now eight years old.
That’s according to Cllr Carmel Kelly, who wants Kildare County Council to carry out surface repairs and improvements to footpaths at the area in front of Haydens pub, Lawlors Hotel and around the John Devoy statue, in Naas.
Kildare County Council says it has “reviewed this location” and is arranging to “have the footpath treated to improve grip.”
But Cllr Kelly said the same reply was given in 2015.
She said the surfaces are slippy and in places the paths are sloped, creating a hazard.
Cllr Kelly noted that this work has been done outside the post office.
