NOTICE: Two road closures announced for Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District

Two road closures have been announced for the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District (MD).

Kildare County Council (KCC), on behalf of Kildare-Newbridge MD Office, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road: the L7089. from the L7089/L7079
to the L7087/L70871.

The closure will facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act, 1993, and will take place between Tuesday, June 13, 2023 to Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Duration of Closure at any one time will be for five days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

Westbound:

Travel southbound on the L7089 and the L7092 to the junction of the L7092/L7087.

At the junction, turn right and travel westbound to the junction of the L7087/L70871 where the diversion ends.

Eastbound:

Travel eastbound on the L7087 to the junction of the L7087/L7092.

At the junction turn left onto the L7092 and travel onto the L7089, where the diversion ends at the junction of the L7089/L7079.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with KCC and An Garda Síochána.

Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.

For the second closure, KCC, on behalf of Kildare Newbridge MD Office, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road: the L7093, from the L7093/L7087 to the L7093/L7094.

The closure will take place between Tuesday, June 13, 2023 to Saturday, September 30, 2023 to facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act, 1993.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

Southbound:

Travel along the L7087 and turn left at the junction of the L7087/L7901.

Travel along the L7901 to the junction of the L7901/L7093.

At the junction turn left and continue onto the junction of the L7093/L7094 where the diversion ends.

Northbound:

Travel on the L7093 in a westbound direction to the junction of the L7093/L7091, turn right and follow the L7091 to the junction of the L7091/L7087.

At the junction turn right and head in an eastbound direction where the diversion ends at the junction of the L7094/L7093.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with KCC and An Garda Síochána.

Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
