A derelict property in Newbridge is now in the process of being demolished.
Social Democrats councillor Chris Pender posted about the update in relation to Rooske Lodge on his official Facebook page.
Cllr Pender has previously discussed the property on a number of occasions.
Alongside the photographs, he said: "Wouldn't say I'm delighted to see the building torn down, but after all the antisocial behaviour and the fact the developers that own it let it fall into complete disrepair and dereliction, this is most definitely the best result we could hope for at the minute.
"I've continuously liased with KCC in relation to this and while I appreciate the fact the works being done it's long past the time since it should have been.
"It's only a start though and I'll be keeping a close eye on it and appreciate everyone's help that has been doing the same."
"Thank you so much to those that have sent me photos and kept me posted over time," he added.
