NOTICE: Road works planned for Kilcullen, County Kildare

Road works are being planned for Kilcullen next month, as part of the Kilcullen Road Cycle Scheme.

Kildare County Council (KCC) gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road.

The R448 Kilcullen Road from the Kilcullen Road Roundabout to the R448/Patrician Avenue.

The closure will begin on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 and Thursday, July 13, 2023.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

Northbound:

From the Kilcullen Road Roundabout head towards the R441 (Ballymore Eustace Road Roundabout), take the first exit onto the R441 Ballymore Road and proceed to the junction with the R448 (Swans on the Green).

At the junction, turn right on to the R448 Kilcullen Road to finish the diversion.

Southbound:

At the R448/R441 (Swans on the Green) junction, turn left onto the R441 Ballymore Road.

At the Ballymore Eustace Road Roundabout, take the third exit and head towards the Kilcullen Road Roundabout to finish the diversion.

KCC has said that diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána.

"Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained," KCC added.

Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to: The A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, County Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5pm. on Monday, June 19, 2023.
