A man found in possession of a gun has appeared at Naas District Court.
Modestas Kubilius, 32, of no fixed abode, is being prosecuted for possession of a Zoaraki firearm on November 24, 2020, at an apartment in College Farm, Newbrige.
Sgt Dave Hanrahan said the recovered weapon was a semi automatic firearm which was capable of firing bullets.
The defendant was sent forward for trial at Naas Circuit Court by Judge Desmond Zaidan who said he must provide any details of any alibi which could form part of his defence.
This must be done before the hearing takes place.
