A solicitor for a young man who appeared before Naas District Court on Thursday, July 13, has a famous employer.
In a surprising mitigation moment, Seamus Boyle told Judge Desmond Zaidan that his client works for none-other than the fiery TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
The man did not appear in court on the date in question, and was charged with being in possession of €20 worth of cannabis in County Kildare on a date in 2021.
In response to being told this information, Judge Zaidan said: "Does Gordon Ramsay know that he is smoking weed?"
The judge adjourned the case to a date in October for sentencing.
