Suspected cocaine haul discovered in Ballysax, County Kildare

ALLEGED

A suspected cocaine haul estimated to be worth just under €4,000 was discovered in Ballysax.

Gardaí present at Naas District Court on Thursday, July 20 last alleged that Paul Dempsey, with an address given as Ballysax, The Curragh, County Kildare, was caught with the suspected haul at Ballysax on April 30, 2022.

It was heard that gardaí had no objection to bail for the 28-year-old defendant.

Presiding Judge Deirdre Gearty adjourned the case to September 21 to allow time for consideration of jurisdiction and for mention.

She also granted bail for Mr Dempsey until this date.
