Kildare Death Notices for Friday, August 4, 2023

RIP to the late Patrick (Pat) Shannon, Michael (Mick) Walsh and Carmel Wilmot (née Keane).

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Shannon

Celbridge, Kildare / Elphin, Roscommon.

August 2, 2023, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

Loving husband to his wife Kathleen, dear father of Mary, Kevin and Shirley and cherished grandfather of Adam.

Deeply missed and forever loved by his family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Monday (August 7) from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal to St Patrick’s Church, Celbridge on Tuesday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Walsh

Sheadogue, Ballylinan, Laois / Athy, Kildare.

It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Michael (Mick) Walsh, Sheadogue, Ballylinan, Athy. Peacefully at home, after an illness bourne with great courage and dignity.

Beloved husband and best friend of Sheila, much loved father of Ned, Catherine, Gérard, Oliver and Aidan.

Deeply regretted by his daughters-in-law Margaret, Martina and  Alison, son-in-law Mike, Ned's partner Catherine, his grandchildren Gary, Padraig, David, Lisa, Conor, Joey, Mikey, Bobby, Danny and  Zack and great-grandchildren Charlie and Paisley.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters Kit and Anna, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence (R14 HX90).

Rosary at 8pm on both Thursday and Friday evening (August 3 and 4).

Removal on Saturday afternoon to arrive at St Anne's Church, Ballylinan for Requiem Mass at 1pm.

The mass will be livestreamed on the Ballyadams Facebook page (link to follow). 

Burial afterwards in St Anne's Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Carmel Wilmot (née Keane)

Monivea, Galway / Naas, Kildare.

The death has occurred of Carmel Wilmot (nee Keane) Monivea, Co. Galway, formerly of Kill and Naas, County Kildare.

Carmel passed peacefully in University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed by her daughter Meghan and son in law Alan, brother Tony, sisters Mary and Brenda, brother-in-law Tommy and all her extended family, friends and neighbours.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff of St Joseph’s Ward in University Hospital Galway for the exceptional care and compassion they showed to her throughout her illness.

Reposing at her sister Mary's home, 7 Glendara, Kill, County Kildare (W91 E8N9) on Sunday from 5pm.

Funeral on Monday morning with Requiem Mass at 10am in St Brigid's Church, Kill and afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Family flowers only please.
