A water sports hub is being planned for Monasterevin.
According to planning permission documents lodged with Kildare County Council show that the Monasterevin Development Association intends to construct the development at Moores Lock, Skirteen Road in Monasterevin.
The applicant intends to construct water sports hub, which would comprising of: (a) a single storey building with classroom, office, changing rooms/ toilets, kitchenette, drying room, workshop and external storage/ covered areas; (b) a wastewater treatment system and percolation area; (c) two equipment storage containers; and (d) all associated site works including a floating pontoon to River Barrow, paths, parking and boundary treatments.
The date received is listed as August 15 last, while the submission-by and due date are listed as September 18 and October 9 respectively.
According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, the Monasterevin Development Association, also known as the Monasterevin Development Association Limited, was established in 2020.
It has a regustered address listed as Hibernian House, West End, Monasterevin, County Kildare (W34 HT28).
