Around 30 workers at the McDonald’s restaurant in Newbridge will be offered jobs at neighbouring restaurants — possibly in Naas and Maynooth.
The decision follows a devastating fire which ravaged the busy outlet last week.
A spokesperson for the multinational told the Leinster Leader on Monday afternoon that there is no specific timeline for reopening the premises on Moorefield Road as the company is currently assessing the amount of damage the building has sustained.
Firefighters from three fire stations battled the blaze which was caused by a car going on fire in the drive-thru section.
Local residents had to close windows and doors as thick smoke engulfed the local area.
