KILDARE COURT: Woman claims ex partner is sexually abusing their child

Allegation

There is increasing concern over the future of Naas Courthouse

Naas Courthouse

A woman told a court sitting in Naas that her ex-boyfriend is sexually abusing their child.

She made the allegation at a family law hearing.

She said the child had asked why the man had hair on his willy and she further alleged the father had wiped his penis against the child.

She said the man sleeps with the child and rubs up against him and made sex noises.

The woman said she had gone to the gardaí and to Tusla, the child and family support agency.

She told Judge Desmond Zaidan that she had been told not to let the man have access to the child while the matter is being investigated.

Judge Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to December 11.

The partner was not present and applications like these can be made with one side only in court.
