The death has occurred of Una Patricia Galligan (née Kelly)
Kildare.
September 18, 2023 at St Clare's Hospital in Denville following a sudden illness, in the presence of family.
She was 76.
Born and raised in Kildare, Ireland, Una immigrated to the United States in 1974 settling in Bronx, NY.
She had been a resident of Parsippany-Troy Hills for the last 22 years.
She and her husband Martin also maintained a home in Boynton Beach, Florida. Mrs. Galligan had been a travel advisor with the New York offices of Tourism Ireland for 43 years before retiring in 2019.
She was a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany.
Extremely proud of her Irish heritage, Una was also a member of the Kildare Association of Queens, New York.
Una is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Martin P. Galligan; six beloved siblings, Simon Kelly of London, England, Marie O'Carroll of Kildare, Ireland, Michael Kelly of Kildare, Ireland, Tony Kelly of Kildare, Ireland, Vincent Kelly of London, England, and Bernadette Kennedy of Montville Township, NJ; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Kelly and Marcella (nee Higginbotham) Kelly; and five siblings, Molly Walsh, Joanie Nolan, Francis Kelly, Pat Kelly, and Geraldine Vlioras.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, September 24, 2023, 4pm-8pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha (Parsippany), NJ.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning, September 25, 2023, 11am at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Parsippany, NJ.
The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the parish web site at https://saintpetertheapostle.org.
Private cremation will follow the Mass.
Una's cremated remains will be returned to Kildare, Ireland in the future.

Deeply regretted by her loving nephews Tom and his wife Louise and James and his wife Síle, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy on Friday evening (September 22) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm.
Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St Mary's Church, Barrowhouse for Requiem Mass at 11am.
Burial afterwards in St Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.

Suddenly at home.
Predeceased by her sisters Nancy, May and Theresa, and her brothers Jack and Thomas.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, adoring husband Gordon Snr, daughters Maryann, Bridget, Eileen and Pauline, son Gordon Jnr, sons-in-law Michael, Paul, Martin and Michael, daughter-in-law Michelle, grandchildren Paul, Laura, Martin, Ciara, Adam, Emma, Joshua, Charlie and Alfie.
Sadly missed by her brothers Brian and Hughie, sister Peggy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Formerly of Kildare and Dublin.
Deeply regretted by her brother Patrick, nieces and nephews and the Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA).
Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary, her brothers Bernard and Harry.
Requiem Mass at 2.30pm on Saturday, September 23, at Ardfoyle Convent.
