€79,450 to be reallocated for pedestrian link in Kildare — NTA

The National Transport Authprity has confirmed approval to Kildare County Council’s (KCC) Sustainable Transport Section that
€79,450 can be reallocated to the Kildangan Road Active Travel Scheme.

The news follows after Fianna Fáil Cllr Suzanne Doyle asked KCC to 'seek funding to deliver a complete pedestrian link fromKildangan school to the GAA grounds at Kildangan Stud' at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting on Wednesday, September 20 last.

KCC added that this reallocation comes from the original grant allocation of €9,965,000 and the monies must be diverted from existing schemes to fund it.

Cllr Doyle said she welcomed the news about the reallocation.
