Alterations have been proposed to the medical centre located in Caragh, according to planning permission documents lodged with Kildare County Council.
Halkirk Properties Limited is seeking permission to make the alterations to the centre located in the village of Caragh (W91 X37C).
Specifically, the development for retention consists of alterations to the medical centre granted under planning ref. no. 16/10 & PL 09.246382 as follows: (a) an increase in the ground floor area from 157.1 square metres to 169.0sqm; (b) an increase in the first floor area from 46.2sqm to 58.0sqm; and (c) elevational revisions to include the removal of the proposed stone cladding, revisions to the fenestration and external doors, and the inclusion of two dormer windows and three skylights in the roof of the 1.5-storey element.
The development for planning permission will consist of: (a) the change of use of the first floor from an administration area, staff room, staff w.c. and store room to a one-bedroom apartment, with associated parking & bicycle spaces, and (b) a revision from the heritage centre granted under planning ref. no. 16/10 & PL 09.246382 to a proposed two-storey apartment block, comprising four two-bedroom apartments, a bicycle and bin store building, communal open space, parking, landscaping.
Planning permission is also being sought for all ancillary site works, to include connections to mains services.
The date received is listed as September 21 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as October 25 and November 15 respectively.
