Gift cards for the popular Whitewater Shopping Centre (WSC) are fully operational once again.
Earlier this year, news broke that the company UAB PayrNet, which provided gift cards for WSC, has lost its licence, due to suspicions of money laundering flagged by regulators in Lithuania.
Now, a spokesperson for WSC told the Leader that the cards are fully operational once more.
Speaking directly to the general public, the WSC spokesperson said: "We understand the disruption to our gift card program has been less than ideal, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process.
"All funds on existing cards have remained secure and protected throughout this period."
They continued: "All funds have successfully been transferred to our new Electronic Money Institution (EMI) processor, Paynovate, under the MasterCard system.
"Existing Gift Cards will function as normal and do not need to be reactivated or updated.
"Rest assured, we have worked tirelessly in conjunction with the Gift Card operators, RG Financial to ensure a successful transition to the new EMI processor, Paynovate, and to restore full functionality to your Gift Cards.
"We are committed to making it right and restoring your confidence in Whitewater Shopping Centre. Our customer service team is available for any questions or concerns you may have.
"As always, if you have any further questions or queries, please contact our Customer Service Team on 045 449002 or customerservice@whitewatersc.ie."
